Step 1 for fitness consistency

The most important thing for fitness consistency?

It's not all that complicated; although I am sure you already knew that.

Make. It. Sustainable.

Build a routine you can stick to long term! But how?

We are scraping the surface here of a much bigger topic, but you CAN help yourself. Start by making it convenient. Pick a time of day that consistently works for you, have your clothes ready to go, reduce barriers to working out. Sound cliche? IT IS. Make showing up easier by controlling what you can.

Consistency is a numbers game. Showing up everyday for 2 weeks and then stalling after you miss a day is a very common story. Over the course of a year, we would feel pretty good if we worked out 3 times per week when we felt great, 2 times per week when we were short on time, and 1 time per week on the weeks we felt off or life got in the way. You'd look back a year later and average (hopefully) 2 workouts a week, while maintaining that balance on the weeks you could not. Get that average number of days up by keeping consistency throughout the week, the month, the year.

The great thing about this? It's true for any new habit or behavior you'd like to embrace. Reading, walking, breathwork... you name it.
